KAOHSIUNG — Additional details have been released for Kaohsiung’s upcoming Children’s Day “Dinosaur Park” (恐龍酷樂園) event at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying, 衛武營國家藝術文化中心), including confirmation that all activities will be free to attend.

Organizers said the four-day event, running April 3rd to April 6th, will feature a full-day program across multiple themed zones, with activities beginning around 11 a.m. and continuing into the evening.

The headline attraction, a performance by Japan’s DINO-A-LIVE troupe, will run three times daily, with shows scheduled at 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 7:20 p.m. Each performance lasts approximately 40 minutes, with a total of 12 shows over the holiday period. The production features life-sized mechanical dinosaurs combined with lighting and sound effects.

Beyond the stage performances, the site will include a “dinosaur grassland” display from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a paleontology-themed zone with fossil exhibits and interactive digging activities, and a children’s “explorer” play area. A themed market with roughly 100 food and retail stalls will operate in the afternoon and evening.

Other attractions include live performances on a central stage, children’s shows tied to popular family entertainment brands, and mobile library storytelling sessions.

The venue is accessible via the Weiwuying MRT Station (衛武營站), with city officials previously saying that traffic control and crowd management measures will be in place during the holiday.
