Mayor Chen said the city would expand contracted counseling institutions, provide funding for stress-management and emotional-support courses in schools, and use the employee assistance program to connect teachers with medical and mental-health resources. He also said the KH Education Bureau had been asked to identify problems reported by frontline educators and bring in cross-departmental resources, including psychologists, social workers, and medical institutions.

Running through the end of December 2026, the initiative is scheduled to provide an estimated 490 free sessions during work breaks and between shifts to combat the physical stress and shoulder injuries associated with long driving hours. Municipal authorities stated the project serves a dual purpose by improving driver concentration as a measure of preventive safety while simultaneously creating stable employment opportunities for visually impaired professionals.

Chen said Guanyinshan is one of Dashu’s major natural and recreational areas. The city has budgeted about NT$30 million for environmental improvements and facility upgrades in the area, including trail maintenance, public facility repairs, improvements to nearby spaces, and stronger safety measures.

The Executive Yuan (行政院) approved the industrial park plan in 2019. The Ministry of Economic Affairs (經濟部) has said the project would help fund the relocation while developing a high-tech materials supply chain. Kaohsiung City Government (高雄市政府) officials also said the relocation budget is legally tied to the industrial park project.

The department said it would continue reviewing medical records related to treatments such as body sculpting, laser procedures, and Botox injections. Officials said they are checking whether the clinics collected advance payments, charged more than legally permitted, or created unauthorized fee items.

The department said vendors selling improperly labeled food, or refusing to identify suppliers, could face fines of NT$30,000 to NT$3 million. Serious violations could lead to suspension, cancellation of business registration, or revocation of food-vendor registration. Vendors whose registration is revoked cannot reapply for one year.
