    Kaohsiung French Festival returns to Weiwuying this weekend

    Event will feature music, markets, workshops, food and outdoor films

    KAOHSIUNG — The 2026 Kaohsiung French Festival is happening May 22 to May 24 at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, Weiwuying (衛武營國家藝術文化中心) and Weiwuying Metropolitan Park (衛武營都會公園), with organizers promoting a mix of music, food, workshops, and outdoor events.

    According to information released by the Kaohsiung City Government, the program will include performances by Taiwanese and French singers and bands, brand markets, pop-up dining, a pastry and savory salon by InterContinental Kaohsiung, a Boléro dance workshop, pétanque and soccer activities, outdoor talks, a “night market of ideas,” and outdoor film screenings.

    Festival hours are set for 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The city is encouraging visitors to use public transportation, with the site accessible from Weiwuying Station (衛武營站) on the Orange Line via Exit 6.
