KAOHSIUNG — KACG Kaohsiung ACG City (高雄動漫城) will return to Kaohsiung Station this weekend with about 120 vendor booths, cosplay activities, and live performances.

The free event will run from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19 and 20, across the station’s B1 and B2 levels.

KACG is a regular event devoted to anime, comics, and games. Its monthly editions bring independent creators, performers, cosplayers and related businesses into different areas of Kaohsiung Station.

Around 120 booths will operate each day, offering original artwork, fan-created works, handmade goods and anime-related merchandise. Cosplayers and photographers are also welcome to participate, subject to the rules governing photography and use of the station’s public spaces.

The stage program will include anime songs, dance, cosplay and other ACG-related performances.

Japanese singer-songwriter somei will perform a free short concert at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on the B1 stage. She performed the opening theme for the 2023 anime series The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today and released her EP Nightlife on Sept. 8.

The Tokyo-born artist began performing while in junior high school and made her major-label debut with Sony Music in 2023, according to her official profile.

An Ultraman character appearance is also scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. A limited number of photo-session vouchers will be available to visitors who purchase selected Ultraman merchandise.

Organizers recommend traveling by train, MRT, or bus because the event is being held inside Kaohsiung Station. Schedule changes and further details will be posted on the KACG website and its official Facebook page.
