Taiwan’s first AI “face-swap system” goes on display, along with “Taiwan’s longest Halloween parade”

KAOHSIUNG — E-DA World (義大世界) is preparing to kick off its annual “Halloween Month” celebrations with new technology, film collaborations and large-scale events throughout October.

The China Times reports that this year’s highlight is the upgraded “5D Ghost Ship” attraction at E-DA Theme Park (義大遊樂世界). Supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ 5G initiative and developed with the Institute for Information Industry, the ride introduces Taiwan’s first AI face-swap system. Using large LED screens, visitors see their own faces transformed into monsters in real time, turning each guest into the star of a terrifying story.

E-DA has also partnered with the upcoming Korean horror film Bless You (《咒你》), starring Moon Chae-won (文彩元), Yoo Jae-myung (劉宰明) and Solar of MAMAMOO (頌樂). Although the film opens in Taiwan on Oct. 31, E-DA will launch an exclusive immersive experience on Sept. 19, complete with themed photo zones and interactive elements.

“We are combining international film IPs with cutting-edge technology to deliver a new level of sensory impact,” said E-DA Development General Manager Wang Hsiang-wan (王香完). “Guests won’t just watch the movie—they’ll step inside it and experience the fear firsthand.”

The month-long program also includes the popular “E-DA Halloween Party” (義大萬聖趴) on Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m., featuring children’s entertainers Banana哥哥 and Tomato姊姊, roaming clowns, costumed performers, and a nighttime volcano show.

On Oct. 25, E-DA will stage what it bills as Taiwan’s longest Halloween parade, transforming its luxury boulevard into a carnival route with candy giveaways and live performances.

E-DA says it hopes to give visitors both shopping bargains and Halloween thrills, inviting families across Taiwan to “celebrate, save, and scare together.”
