KAOHSIUNG — E Sky’s long-awaited B Hall, now called E Sky Empire (義享帝國), has no announced public opening date as the final quarter of 2026 approaches. The project broke ground on June 28, 2017, according to E Sky’s own timeline.
The 28-story building in Gushan District (鼓山區) is planned to house the E Sky Lifestyle Plaza (義享樂漾廣場), a cinema and offices. In May, developer E Sky Leisure International said it expected to obtain an occupancy permit in the third quarter. Its website says B Hall is expected to obtain a permit and begin operating this year, but gives no opening date for individual facilities. A permit would allow the building to be used; it would not, by itself, mean the mall and cinema were ready to open.
A Sept. 29 post by local page 高雄好過日 questioned whether a 2026 opening remains realistic, pointing to work it said was still underway inside. The office portion has secured a major buyer. Nanshan Life announced in May that it would buy space in the building for about NT$3.56 billion to house its Kaohsiung branch, sales offices and training facilities. The purchase does not specify when those offices, the mall, or the cinema will open.
