Kaohsiung took a step deeper into the digital nomad scene Friday with the launch of the Nomad Taiwan Kaohsiung Service Hub at Pinway Warehouse No. 8 at The Pier-2 Art Center.

The event brought together government representatives, international partners and local communities for a launch ceremony focused on making Taiwan more welcoming to digital nomads and global talent. The program included opening remarks, performances, an MOU signing ceremony, a group photo and presentations on Taiwan’s digital nomad visa, Kaohsiung’s nomad-friendly environment and partner communities.

The afternoon ended with a guided tour and networking session, giving guests a chance to connect and explore Kaohsiung’s growing role as a hub for international professionals in southern Taiwan. Organized by the National Development Council and implemented by the Taipei Computer Association, the event marked another move in Taiwan’s push to build a stronger support system for digital nomads.

TDNA played a visible role in the event. It has been helping build connections between digital nomads, local communities and public partners, and that effort was clearly part of the bigger story behind the launch.

Second Space was mentioned during the event as one of the coworking spaces contributing to Kaohsiung’s growing startup and creative community. Founded by Latvian software developer Arturs Vancans, who is based in Kaohsiung, the space is preparing to open a second branch in May.
