KAOHSIUNG — The Mundo Pixar Experience will open in Kaohsiung on Dec. 18, bringing life-size recreations of scenes from 10 Pixar films to a temporary waterfront venue near the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.

The exhibition will run through April 18, 2027, at the intersection of Haibian Road and Chenggong 2nd Road, close to the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center light rail station (C8).

Organizers said the Taiwan edition will include 13 themed rooms based on films including Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Inside Out and Finding Nemo. Visitors will be able to enter recreated scenes such as Andy’s bedroom from Toy Story and the monster world from Monsters, Inc.

The touring exhibition has visited more than 10 locations and attracted more than 4 million visitors, organizers said.

Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau Director Kao Min-lin (高閔琳) said the city had coordinated administrative support and would plan traffic arrangements around the site. The bureau is also working with tourism operators on travel packages for visitors coming to Kaohsiung for the exhibition.

A limited early-bird merchandise-and-ticket package will go on sale Sept. 4. It includes a Taiwan-exclusive metal keychain blind box while supplies last. Presale tickets will be available from Oct. 1 through Dec. 17, with regular ticket sales beginning on opening day.

Ahead of the sale, organizers will hold a “Pixar Ball” promotional roadshow in six cities. The Kaohsiung stop is scheduled for Weiwuying on Nov. 7 and 8. Visitors who photograph the Pixar Ball and follow the organizer’s social-media instructions can enter a draw for tickets to the Dec. 16 red-carpet preview.

Ticket information will be available through Klook and the exhibition’s official Facebook page and Instagram account.
