Three members of a Kaohsiung family became ill after eating unidentified wild mushrooms given to them by a friend. One person was admitted to hospital, while health officials said green-spored parasol poisoning was suspected.
Heavy rain flooded roads across Kaohsiung on Saturday, with several districts recording more than 200 mm within 24 hours. Flooding disrupted traffic in Niaosong, Daliao and other parts of the city.
