KAOHSIUNG — The “Dinosaur Exploration Park” (恐龍探索樂園), located on the rooftop of the sprawling shopping complex in Kaohsiung’s Cianjhen District, said this week it will officially cease operations on March 31. In a message posted on the park’s Facebook page, management thanked visitors for their years of support and said the closure was due to the expiration of the venue’s operating agreement.

The attraction, which featured animatronic dinosaur displays and interactive activities for children, promoted itself as the only rooftop theme park of its kind in Taiwan. Since opening nearly nine years ago, it has become a popular stop for families visiting Dream Mall, one of the largest shopping complexes in southern Taiwan.

Online reaction to the announcement has been largely nostalgic. Some visitors said they were surprised by the sudden news and expressed regret that the park would soon disappear. One commenter wrote that they were glad they had visited earlier this year, while others shared photos and memories from past trips with their children.

According to publicly available listings, the park holds an average rating of about 3.9 stars on Google reviews.
