KAOHSIUNG — British YouTuber Lee Da-feng (李大豐), who posts under the name Da Feng Da Ge Da (大豐大哥大), drew a wave of responses after sharing a rain-soaked complaint from Kaohsiung on Aug. 31, according to the China Times.

In the video, Lee wore a raincoat while taking out the trash but still returned soaked. He described the weather as “ridiculous,” used profanity and said he had not seen the sun for a week.
Lee contrasted the conditions with rainy Taipei and London, saying he expected Kaohsiung to be sunny. He said rain had continued for about two weeks and joked about becoming a less convincing “Sunny Boy” as his hair thinned.
People responding to the clip said Kaohsiung’s August rainfall had indeed been excessive, describing repeatedly emptying dehumidifier tanks.
The complaints followed a severe wet spell across southern Taiwan. In an Aug. 24 statement, the Taiwan Power Co. Kaohsiung branch said the city recorded more than 1,100 millimeters of accumulated rainfall from Aug. 20 to Aug. 24, with more than 500 millimeters recorded in one day.
The China Times report did not identify the Kaohsiung district where Lee recorded the video.
