Founded in 1980, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kaohsiung (高雄美國商會) has a simple mission statement:
AmCham Kaohsiung seeks to provide information and networking for US-linked companies and professionals in Southern Taiwan.
AmCham Kaohsiung has a diverse membership, including expats that have lived in Kaohsiung and other parts of Taiwan for decades, as well as more recently-returned Taiwanese-American businesspeople, plus many local residents who do business with US-linked firms or have an interest in forming new partnerships.
Now, a quarter-century into the 21st century, AmCham Kaohsiung is redoubling its efforts to strengthen our community.
AmCham KH also puts out an annual White Paper that is forwarded to authorities in both Taipei and Washington DC.
