KAOHSIUNG — Families have one more weekend to enjoy the water-play facilities at Starlight Waterfront Park (星光水岸公園), according to a Facebook announcement by City Councilor Kuo Chien-meng (郭建盟).

Kuo said Sunday, Nov. 1, would be the final operating day this year. The seasonal closure applies to the water-play facilities, while the surrounding park will remain open.

Located beside the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (高雄展覽館), the park’s upgraded water-play area opened in May. Its attractions include slides, spray features and water swings, with changing rooms, toilets and outdoor rinsing facilities available, according to the city’s tourism website.

The published operating hours are Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m.–noon and 2–7 p.m., with free admission. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

However, the Parks Office’s standing notice still lists Oct. 31 as the seasonal closing date. Families planning a Sunday visit should confirm the additional day before traveling.

Visitors can reach the waterfront park by taking the light rail to Kaohsiung Exhibition Center station (高雄展覽館站).
