KAOHSIUNG — A scooter rider entered the right-of-way of the Kaohsiung Light Rail (高雄輕軌) near Software Technology Park Station (軟體園區站) at around 11:30 a.m. on March 27 and fell after making contact with a passing train, according to video footage circulated on Threads.
The footage shows a female rider traveling into the rail corridor before a light rail vehicle passes and makes contact, causing her to fall. Bystanders are seen assisting the rider to her feet.
Police in the jurisdiction told the media on Friday afternoon that they had not received an immediate report, and that both parties had left the scene before officers arrived. Traffic in the area was not affected. Authorities said the case will be handled and investigated in accordance with regulations if a report is filed.
