Both lots include pedestrian routes connecting to Songyi Road. Visitors parking at the rear-gate lot can walk to the Songyi-Bade South Road intersection, while those using the Maze Garden lot can cross Songyi Road near Pond No. 10 to reach Kaohsiung Green Park.

The Transportation Bureau (高雄市交通局) said traffic controls would be introduced around major tourist sites during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 19 to 21, with large crowds expected at Cijin, Sizihwan, Hamasen, Pier-2, Shoushan Zoo, Fo Guang Shan, Cishan, Meinong, and Dream Mall. During the holiday, tourists with gasoline-powered scooters will be barred from boarding the Gushan-Cijin ferry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Cijin residents, electric scooter riders, cyclists, and people on official business are exempt from the restriction.

The Tainan Tourism Bureau (台南市政府觀光旅遊局) said it has trained seven certified sign-language guides, including two with Class B sign-language interpreter certification. The guides are expected to join the city’s walking-tour program, beginning with the Confucius Temple route, which links several major cultural sites in central Tainan.

A free exhibition featuring artist Chang Li-jen’s (張立人) highly detailed “Battle City” series is now open at Neiwei Arts Center (內惟藝術中心), giving visitors a chance to walk through a miniature urban world built over 14 years. The exhibition, titled “RE: Battle City” (RE:戰鬥之城), runs from June 6 to Oct. 26.

Nantzikeng Sports Center (楠仔坑運動中心) in Nanzih District (楠梓) began trial operations Sunday. During the trial period, the center is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The fitness center and swimming pool are closed for cleaning from noon to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Education officials said disagreements between parents, teachers and students are common on campuses, but if handled poorly in the early stages, they can quickly move into complicated legal investigation procedures. That can consume school resources and deepen conflict, the bureau said. The planned mechanism would emphasize “communication first,” encouraging schools to bring in outside professionals in psychology, counseling, law and education when needed to help resolve disputes early.
