KAOHSIUNG – E-DA World’s New Year’s Eve fireworks show will return on December 31, for the 17th year, featuring a 999-second display and a new centerpiece billed as a “super giant firework tree” to welcome in 2026.
UDN reports that according to the operator, the giant “firework tree” will be set up on the large lawn behind the shopping mall. Using a new launch system, the effect will create a massive green “tree crown” bursting in the night sky, with a trunk and branches formed by golden sparks and thousands of gold light trails falling like a waterfall.
This year’s show will also feature several “Taiwan firsts,” including a blue “meteor shower” sequence designed to look like a starry galaxy, and a “flowing ink” segment with constantly shifting colors. Other effects will include a multicolor “five-color waterfall,” “thousand little flowers,” and color-changing shells. The finale will combine high and low golden “waterfalls” and starburst crowns to open 2026 in what organizers describe as a “symphony of light.”
E-DA is offering multiple viewing options. Suggested spots include the campus of I-Shou University, which provides a wide view over the entire show. On December 31, E-DA Theme Park will extend its opening hours to 8 p.m. Night visitors can use major rides, join parades and meet-and-greet events, and enter prize draws for awards worth up to five figures (in New Taiwan dollars).
