KAOHSIUNG — Traffic controls will be in place around Kaohsiung National Stadium (高雄國家體育場) on Saturday, May 30, for the “K-SPARK IN KAOHSIUNG 2026” concert, with city officials urging concertgoers not to drive to the venue.
The Kaohsiung City Transportation Bureau (高雄市政府交通局) said Shihyun Boulevard (世運大道) will be closed to cars and scooters from 8 a.m., May 30, to 1 a.m. the following day. Vehicles will not be allowed to pass through or park inside the control area.
The bureau said no car parking spaces will be provided at the venue, and temporary pick-up or drop-off around the stadium will be prohibited. Police and traffic officials will step up towing and enforcement for illegal parking.
Several YouBike stations will also be suspended from 7 a.m. May 30 to 1 a.m. the next day, including stations at the National Sports Training Center main gate, Shiyun Boulevard, MRT World Games Station Exit 1, and the stadium.
Officials said heavier traffic is expected on Zounan Road (左楠路), Cueihua Road (翠華路), Junsiao Road (軍校路), and National Freeway 10. Drivers who do not need to enter the area are advised to avoid roads near the venue and use alternate routes.
For north-south travel, the bureau recommended Minzu Road (民族路), Bo-ai Road (博愛路) and THSR Road (高鐵路). For east-west travel, drivers can use Jiachang Road (加昌路), Sinjhuang 1st Road (新莊一路), and Shueiguan Road (水管路).
Free shuttle buses will run between THSR Zuoying Station (高鐵左營站) and Kaohsiung National Stadium. Inbound shuttle service will operate from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., while outbound service will run from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The Kaohsiung Metro will also increase capacity, with trains running every three to five minutes during the post-concert dispersal period, the bureau said.
Temporary scooter parking will be available on the southwest side of the stadium, on the west side of Junsiao Road between Shiyun Boulevard and Haigong Road (海功路), and in the military dependents’ village area west of Junsiao Road between Wei 1st Road (緯一路) and Wei 4th Road (緯四路). The scooter parking areas will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The city urged fans to use public transportation, shuttle buses, or nearby MRT stations for pick-up and drop-off instead of driving to the stadium.
