Browsing: concerts in Kaohsiung
Taiwanese singer Jeannie Hsieh (謝金燕) visited the Seoul edition of Waterbomb music festival ahead of her planned appearance at Waterbomb Kaohsiung 2026 in September, organizers said.
Live Nation Taiwan’s Kaohsiung event page lists Westlife as the headliner but does not specify which individual members will appear.
Music festival Waterbomb, first launched in 2015 in Seoul, South Korea, is scheduled to hold a Kaohsiung edition on Sept. 12-13 at the plaza opposite Dream Mall (夢時代).
The group is scheduled to perform three shows in Kaohsiung on Nov. 19, 21, and 22, marking a major pop-culture event for southern Taiwan and one of the city’s highest-profile international music bookings of the year.
The city urged fans to use public transportation, shuttle buses, or nearby MRT stations for pick-up and drop-off instead of driving to the stadium.
The Kaohsiung show is also being billed as the first Asian stop on the new tour. Air Supply recently released “A Matter of Time,” their first new album in 16 years, and said songs from the record would be included in the tour.
Chen has a backstory that would work well for a film. At 13, he left Taiwan for Vienna. His parents stayed behind as he entered a rigorous training system—the kind few young musicians today would be expected to endure. “My parents basically had no idea what I was doing,” Chen said. “In the first ten years, I only made two phone calls a year. Letters back and forth would take months,” he recalled.
