KAOHSIUNG — E-Da World (義大世界) will stage its annual New Year’s Eve fireworks display at midnight on Jan. 1, 2026, with authorities implementing a three-stage traffic control plan to manage crowds expected to reach tens of thousands.
According to E-Da World, fireworks will be launched at 12 a.m. In response to heavy visitor volume, traffic restrictions around the resort area will begin earlier on the evening of Dec. 31. The first stage focuses on inbound traffic control. Private cars will be restricted starting at 8 p.m., followed by motorcycle restrictions from 11 p.m. onward. Control times may be adjusted depending on parking availability. Real-time updates will be available via E-Da World’s toll-free service line at 0800-656-077.

The second and third stages will apply during post-event dispersal. After the fireworks, motorcycles and shuttle buses will be released first. Private cars will be allowed to exit after 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 1. Exit routes will be strictly assigned to reduce congestion. Motorcycles parked in Parking Lot 3 must depart via Provincial Highway 186A toward Dashe District (大社區). Vehicles parked in Parking Lots 1 and 2 will exit along the same route toward Dashu District (大樹區). All other vehicles will be directed to leave via E-Da Second Road (義大二路).
To encourage the use of public transportation, E-Da World will provide free shuttle services before and after the event. On Dec. 31, free shuttle buses will operate from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., departing from in front of the PX Mart Renwu Shuikuan Store (全聯仁武水管店) at the intersection of Shuikuan Road and Zhongzheng Road (水管路與中正路口). Renwu Senior High School (仁武高中) will serve as a free temporary parking site for shuttle users.
After the fireworks, attendees may board free return shuttle buses from Parking Lot 1 near I-Shou University (義守大學) back to the Renwu shuttle point. In addition, E-Da Bus will operate extra services on the Kaohsiung HSR Zuoying route (高鐵左營線) at standard fare, providing connections to Zuoying HSR Station and onward MRT services. The final shuttle buses and scheduled E-Da Bus departures are set for 1:30 a.m., with adjustments based on crowd conditions.
E-Da World said detailed traffic maps and updates are available on its official website.
