KAOHSIUNG — The long-discussed Kaohsiung MRT South Ring (大寮—林園線) is finally moving forward.

The Mass Rapid Transit Bureau (捷運局) says the project will be submitted to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (交通部) for review as early as next year.

The line would connect Daliao (大寮) to Linyuan (林園), forming the southern section of the Kaohsiung MRT circle and linking major industrial and residential districts.

More route details and station plans are expected once the formal review process begins.
