KAOHSIUNG — A new public sports complex in Sanmin District (三民區) is scheduled to begin trial operations in July, according to the Kaohsiung City Government’s Sports Development Bureau (運動發展局).
The Sanmin Sports Center (三民運動中心), located beside Yangming Junior High School (陽明國中), will include a 25-meter heated swimming pool, a spa pool, and a dedicated children’s splash area.
Indoor facilities are set to feature a high-ceiling multi-purpose court, table tennis rooms, and a range of fitness and activity spaces, including aerobics studios, yoga rooms, and cycling (spinning) classrooms.
The project is part of the city’s broader push to expand neighborhood-level sports infrastructure, with similar centers being developed or upgraded across multiple districts.
