KAOHSIUNG — Drivers on a stretch of Jiangong Road (建工路) in Sanmin District (三民區) are now subject to a reduced speed limit of 30 kph as construction continues on Yellow Line (黃線) Station Y8, part of the city’s second MRT line.
The lower limit took effect Aug. 12 and applies to the section of Jiangong Road between Dashun 2nd Road (大順二路) and Dachang 2nd Road (大昌二路), according to a post from Kaohsiung Metropolitan TV (高雄都會台).
The restriction is expected to remain in place through the end of the year while underground station work continues.
Officials are asking drivers to slow down and proceed with caution through the work zone.
