A new footbridge will connect Guoling Nature Park and Chengcing Lake across Songyi Road. Construction will close the road from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for three nights beginning Oct. 6, with drivers advised to use alternative routes.
Once associated paths are completed, the city intends the bridge to form part of a largely traffic-separated walking route connecting Shuanghu Forest Park (雙湖森林公園), Guoling Natural Park and Chengcing Lake.
