Analysts say Taiwan’s housing market is entering a period of adjustment. Future market performance is expected to depend more heavily on migration patterns and industrial development, with regional disparities likely to widen.

Unlike conventional reservoirs, the project draws water from beneath the riverbed, using natural sand and gravel layers as filtration. Engineers have installed a 1,200-meter steel-reinforced collection pipe, along with two intake wells positioned along the Laonong and Cishan (旗山溪) rivers.

Chen attended the opening session with city officials and met with Council Speaker Kang Yu-cheng, Deputy Speaker Tseng Chun-chieh, and party caucuses to discuss urban development, infrastructure and livelihood issues.

Children aged 12 and under will receive free admission to Shoushan Zoo during the Children’s Day holiday from April 3 to April 6, according to an announcement by Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai.

Planned works include new connector roads and additional ramps linking to National Freeway 1 (國道1號), allowing traffic to flow more directly between the science park and surrounding districts, including access toward Zuoying High Speed Rail Station (左營高鐵站).
