A shop representative said the set of decorative cards dropped with a loud snap just as the customer was selecting tickets. Interpreting the moment as a lucky sign, he first scratched a NT$1,000 win, then used those winnings to purchase a “NT$12 Million Great Fortune” ticket, which revealed the top prize.
