KAOHSIUNG — A new cultural and commercial space, FOCUS 13 Coral Plaza, has opened within the Kaohsiung Music Center (高雄流行音樂中心), adding another attraction to the city’s rapidly developing waterfront district. At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a large blue character named Lang Zi (浪子), the plaza’s mascot.

The plaza’s centerpiece is a curated concept store called focus in SELECT, which presents a collaborative creative project titled “CREATOR Waves.” The project showcases work by ten artists and designers, blending art, craft, and everyday lifestyle products inspired by Kaohsiung’s port culture.
Dining options are another highlight of the new plaza. The restaurant Unagi Moment (鰻悠), a new brand created by MIAMANDAY (鰻魚日記), specializes in Japanese eel slow-roasted at low temperatures to preserve its texture and flavor. The restaurant raises its own eels rather than sourcing them from wholesalers to ensure freshness.

Meanwhile, FULA COFFEE (芙拉咖啡) offers tiered seating that blends indoor and outdoor views, allowing visitors to enjoy sweeping harbor scenery. The café has also created a Kaohsiung-exclusive Mentaiko Basque cheesecake inspired by the city’s maritime identity.
