    The Importance of Critical Thinking in the IR Communication Process

    People are a product of their upbringings and cultural backgrounds. The Confucian thought which forms the basis of eastern philosophy focuses more on values which places strong importance on conformity and the virtue of modesty. In contrast, western thought strongly focuses on the skill of critical thinking and the use of debate and arguments. For most Taiwanese listed companies, this is also reflected in how they approach investor relations and the communication of their investment story towards the investing public.
