KAOHSIUNG — The Megaport Festival (大港開唱), one of southern Taiwan’s best-known music events, will return to Kaohsiung on March 21 and 22, 2026, marking its 20th anniversary with performances at the Pier-2 Art Center (駁二藝術特區).

Organizers have announced multiple waves of performers, drawing attention from music fans across Taiwan and abroad.

One of the most discussed additions this year is Kessoku Band (團結 Band), a fictional group from the Japanese anime Bocchi the Rock! (孤獨搖滾!), which will make its first appearance at an overseas music festival. Voice actors Yoshino Aoyama (青山吉能) and Ikumi Hasegawa (長谷川育美) are set to lead the performance, making it a notable crossover between animation and live music culture.

The Megaport Festival has grown from a local music gathering into a major cultural event that highlights Kaohsiung’s waterfront identity and independent music scene. Its return in 2026 is expected to again draw large crowds and reinforce the city’s role as a hub for large-scale outdoor festivals in southern Taiwan.
