KAOHSIUNG — A Hong Kong sex coach will lead two workshops on sexual pleasure in Kaohsiung next week, with one session including a smartphone tool for viewing sperm movement.
Irene, who runs The Playtime Coach, is scheduled to appear Sept. 11 and 12 at PLAY&JOY’s flagship store on Boai 1st Road in Sanmin District. The store is promoting the event as a two-day program on pleasure from male and female perspectives.
According to Irene’s website, she is certified through the U.S.-based Sex Health Alliance and trained at the Somatica Institute. She also hosts the Playtime Coach YouTube channel and podcast.

The first workshop, aimed at men, is billed as a guide to women’s sexual pleasure. The program includes discussion of the clitoris, G-spot, foreplay, and sexual technique.
Participants will receive a TENGA MEN’S LOUPE, a smartphone attachment designed to let users watch sperm movement in a semen sample. The second workshop, aimed at women, will focus on sperm activity and male sexual pleasure. The organizer says participants who bring microscope footage to the session can receive condoms and a discount voucher for store products.
The device should not be confused with a medical fertility test. TENGA describes its MEN’S LOUPE as a tool for simple observation, not medical diagnosis. Concerns about fertility or reproductive health require a clinical semen analysis and advice from a qualified medical professional.
The event is a fairly direct blend of sex education and product marketing, but that does not make its subject trivial. Many here agree that Taiwan’s formal sex education often leaves students, who become adults in sexual relationships, without enough practical information about pleasure, communication and consent.
The organizer has not said whether participants’ microscope videos will be shown, collected or stored. Anyone considering bringing such footage should ask about privacy before doing so.
The workshops run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 12 at PLAY&JOY, #19, Boai 1st Road. Registration is available through the organizer’s online form.
