KAOHSIUNG — Students from Central Police University (中央警察大學) have begun summer internships with the Kaohsiung City Police Department (高雄市政府警察局), gaining practical experience in patrol duties, public interaction, and on-scene decision-making.

The department recently shared photographs of the trainees on Facebook, explaining how the internships prep cadets for real-world situations and aid in their development of professional judgment and responsibility.
The post quickly drew widespread attention online, although much of the discussion focused on the appearance of several male and female interns rather than their training.

Commenters jokingly compared the group to an idol training program, while others said they would not mind receiving a traffic ticket from the interns.
The police department’s original message was more serious, describing each assignment and interaction with the public as part of the students’ transition from academic study to police work.

Central Police University students regularly complete field placements with police agencies as part of their professional training.
