PINGTUNG — A public urban renewal project on the east side of Pingtung Railway Station is set to deliver the tallest building in Pingtung County, with developer Dali Development Co., Ltd. (達麗建設事業股份有限公司) investing an estimated NT$7 billion to NT$8 billion in the project.
The project agreement was reportedly formally signed early last week, marking the start of a large-scale redevelopment that will include a 20-story complex consisting of three connected towers, with four underground levels. Once completed, the development is expected to become the highest structure in the county.

Dali Construction was selected as the preferred bidder after four rounds of public tendering. The site covers approximately 2,677 ping and includes land owned by Taiwan Railways, public entities, and private owners.
Project Scale and Layout
According to project plans, the first three floors will house commercial space, most of which will be allocated to Taiwan Railways. Residential public facilities and a landscaped green platform are planned for the fourth floor. Residential units will occupy the fifth floor and above, with a total of 771 apartments ranging in size from approximately 17 to 32 ping.
Total investment in the project is estimated at between NT$7 billion and NT$8 billion.
The company said that additional coordination with private landowners is still required. Construction is expected to begin in approximately two to two-and-a-half years, followed by a presale phase. The developer estimates a total construction timeline of around five to five-and-a-half years.
Target Buyers
Company executives said pricing is currently expected to be in the NT$40,000-per-ping range, though final pricing has not been set.
The project is targeting three main buyer groups: professionals linked to industries associated with the expanding Pingtung Science Park and related supply chains, Pingtung natives returning from northern Taiwan, and higher-income local residents seeking primary residences, including professionals such as doctors, lawyers, and accountants.
