KAOHSIUNG — A recent travel guide has named 10 family-friendly attractions in Kaohsiung, highlighting theme parks, interactive indoor venues, ecological sites, and free destinations for visitors planning family trips around the city.

Major amusement attractions on the list include Suzuka Circuit Park (鈴鹿賽道樂園) and E-DA Theme Park (義大遊樂世界). Suzuka Circuit Park, located near Kaohsiung International Airport (高雄國際機場) inside SKM Park, offers racing-themed activities suited to older children and teenagers. E-DA Theme Park, in Dashu District (大樹區), features three themed areas and allows visitors with a valid hand stamp to ride the Ferris wheel free of charge.

The guide also recommends educational and interactive venues, including the National Science and Technology Museum (國立科學工藝博物館), FLOMO Museum (FLOMO 富樂夢觀光工廠) and Wooderful Life Kaohsiung (高雄木育森林) at the Pier-2 Art Center (駁二藝術特區). FLOMO Museum offers stationery-themed DIY activities, while Wooderful Life provides an indoor play space built around wooden toys and installations. Kaohsiung Time City (高雄時空之城), near Dream Mall (夢時代購物中心), offers free admission to large-scale 3D art installations, though reservations are required.

Animal and nature-focused sites on the list include Shoushan Zoo (高雄壽山動物園) and Jing-Yuan Leisure Farm (淨園農場), both of which combine family activities with outdoor experiences. Shoushan Zoo is known for its elevated walkways and animal-viewing areas, while Jing-Yuan Leisure Farm, near Kaohsiung International Airport, allows visitors to watch aircraft take off and land while visiting farm animals.

The list also includes free community and ecology-focused destinations such as Aozihdi Forest Park (凹子底森林公園) and Golden Lion Lake Butterfly Garden (金獅湖蝴蝶園). Aozihdi Forest Park is recommended for picnics and urban ecological observation, while the butterfly garden offers an indoor space for learning about local butterfly species throughout the year.
