Health authorities say consumers should be cautious of ads that fail to list a clinic name or physician, promote unusually low prices, or offer at-home services, and note that injections, energy-based treatments, and surgery — must be performed by licensed physicians at registered medical institutions.
Children’s Day activities will run from April 3 to April 6 at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying, 衛武營國家藝術文化中心). The program will center on a dinosaur-themed event featuring stage performances, interactive exhibits, and science education components.
To encourage the use of public transport, transfer discounts will also be offered. Travelers using electronic tickets who transfer within 10 hours from national highway buses, TRA, or HSR to local bus services will receive a free basic fare or one free segment. Some designated “Happy Bus” routes will be free of charge.
The bureau pointed to international comparisons, noting that traffic fatality rates in South Korea are roughly half of Taiwan’s, while Japan’s are significantly lower — outcomes often linked to consistent investment in road engineering and pedestrian infrastructure.
Visitors were invited to check out the Kaohsiung-built zero-emission vessel Porrima P111 (保利馬壹號), developed by Porrima Inc., a company founded by Acer (宏碁) founder Stan Shih (施振榮) and Professor Gunter Pauli. The vessel features a hybrid system combining solar, hydrogen, and wind power with AI-assisted controls.
