DEC 19 – Digital Nomad Night Lands in Kaohsiung: A New Community Hub for Global Remote Workers

Kaohsiung’s international creative will gather on the evening of December 19, as Second Space teams up with Nomad Taiwan to host what is being billed as a cross-border mixer for remote workers, founders, designers, and other float-friendly digital talent who already call Taiwan home — or are just settling in.

The time and place are Friday, December 19, 18:30–21:00, at Second Space (高雄新興區中山一路12-5), and the event promises the two things digital nomads secretly want but rarely get in one package: low-pressure socializing and people who understand the difference between “working from home” and “working from anywhere.”

Format – No slides. No pressure. Just good people and good drinks

No corporate keynotes, no endless pitch decks … the organizers have made it clear: this is a talk-to-actual-humans, hold-a-drink, share-a-story type of evening.

    Programming
    • Networking and conversation are built into the schedule
    • Short welcome remarks (not a lecture)
    • Non-cringe icebreakers
    • Drinks and snacks

    Who it’s for
    • New arrivals looking to build a network
    • Digital nomads comparing visas, platform hacks, and Wi-Fi trauma
    • Creatives curious about Taiwan’s expanding remote-work ecosystem
    • Anyone who simply wants a stylish space with interesting people

    Practical details
    Date: Friday, December 19, 2025
    Time: 18:30–21:00
Venue: Second Space, Xinxing District, Kaohsiung
    Dress: Smart casual
Entry: Free, or NT$100 (free if you share the event post)
    Languages: English

    Sponsors
Nomad Taiwan and TDNA are backing the gathering, part of a wider effort to anchor Taiwan as a friendly base for foreign digital workers who increasingly choose Kaohsiung over the overcrowded north.

    Atmosphere
Organizers promise a night that lands somewhere between a curated salon and casual rooftop meetup—not a recruitment fair, not a funding run, and not a startup speed-dating circus.

For Kaohsiung’s growing international class of analysts, designers, freelancers, editors, and software migrants, this may be the closest thing to a true third space—neither office nor apartment, but the community needed to survive both.
