PINGTUNG — Foreign travelers visiting Pingtung County (屏東縣) can now utilize bilingual travel resources and QR codes at 15 major transportation hubs and tourist sites, according to the Pingtung County Government (屏東縣政府).

The initiative, launched under the 2026 Pingtung Public Transport Bilingual Easy Go program, targets key locations where public transit intersects with tourism routes. Participating sites include the Hengchun Transit Station (恆春轉運站), Chaozhou Transit Station (潮州轉運站), Marine Life Museum Transfer Station, Dongliu Wharf Station (東琉線船運服務中心), and the Kanhai Art Museum (看海美術館).

According to the county government, the program provides bilingual Chinese-English travel cards and multilingual QR code stickers. Visitors can scan the codes at bus stops, walking intersections, and attraction entrances to access local travel information and area maps.

The initiative also includes communication training for frontline personnel. Bus operators, transit volunteers, and visitor center staff received instruction on using real-time translation applications and basic bilingual speaking skills. Training sessions covered practical scenarios such as route inquiries, fare calculations, service changes, and emergencies.

Foreign visitors planning travel to the area can access relevant information through the Pingtung Travel website or via the “Pingtung Go, Have Fun” and “Pingtung Bus” mobile applications.
