KAOHSIUNG — Vietnam Airlines (越南航空) plans to increase its direct service between Ho Chi Minh City (胡志明市) and Kaohsiung (高雄) for the Northern summer 2026 flight season, reflecting growing demand between southern Taiwan and Vietnam. The expansion takes effect March 29, 2026, and was already open for booking in late 2025. (AeroRoutes)
Currently, the airline operates seven weekly round-trip flights on the route, but starting March 29, it will add four additional weekly frequencies, bringing the total to 11 flights per week. (AeroRoutes)
The schedule includes morning and evening services in both directions:
- SGN 0800–1200 → KHH 1200
- SGN 1740–2150 → KHH 2150
- KHH 0730–0930 → SGN 0930
- KHH 1300–1500 → SGN 1500
All flights are operated with Airbus A321 aircraft. (AeroRoutes)
The growth in service adds travel flexibility for both business and leisure passengers. Kaohsiung is one of several Taiwanese cities with direct links to Ho Chi Minh City — a flight path already served by multiple carriers — and the increase may help accommodate peak season demand without requiring connections.
