Children’s Day activities will run from April 3 to April 6 at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying, 衛武營國家藝術文化中心). The program will center on a dinosaur-themed event featuring stage performances, interactive exhibits, and science education components.
Visitors were invited to check out the Kaohsiung-built zero-emission vessel Porrima P111 (保利馬壹號), developed by Porrima Inc., a company founded by Acer (宏碁) founder Stan Shih (施振榮) and Professor Gunter Pauli. The vessel features a hybrid system combining solar, hydrogen, and wind power with AI-assisted controls.
Highlighted categories include international high-end speakers, headphones, and audio cables, as well as vinyl turntables and high-resolution digital audio sources. A dedicated home theater demonstration area will also be set up to showcase immersive audiovisual systems, alongside displays of projectors and laser-based television technology.
First launched in 2006, the festival initially struggled, with low attendance and financial losses reported in its early years. Organizers persisted, however, gradually building momentum through consistent programming and engagement with Taiwan’s independent music scene.
The three-day exhibition will run from April 10 to April 12, operating daily from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will be held on the 10th floor of the Zuoying High Speed Rail (HSR) integrated complex (左營高鐵共構大樓), a major transit hub that connects Taiwan High Speed Rail, TRA, and the Kaohsiung MRT.
