Customers reportedly needed an introduction from someone familiar with the business. They then had to call the casino and stand in front of a camera before the door was unlocked.

Yuanchun Oil Factory, located in Meishan Township, is now accepting returns for products made between December 2025 and July 2026, including bottles that have already been opened.

The other came from a manufacturer near Shiquan Market and contained 3.26 grams of benzoic acid per kilogram, the highest level found in the survey. A third sample from Pingtung’s East Market contained the same banned preservative.

The Kaohsiung District Court found that the barrier had reportedly been in place since 1989. It also found that police had handled about 70 reports, complaints, and traffic incidents in the surrounding area over the previous five years, but had still not removed it.

The officer, surnamed Wang, reportedly first climbed over a wall behind his police station with a sickle and cut down two bunches of bananas belonging to a local resident. The former TRA workshop is an important part of Kaohsiung’s industrial history. The city said the redevelopment project is intended to preserve railway heritage while turning the site into a public space for recreation, culture, and family activities.

Polls have varied widely. In early June, one had Lai at 45% and Ko trailing at 25%. Not long after, another poll put Lai at 40.3% and Ko at 39.7%. The spread between those results highlights how unreliable polling can be, and the latest poll is better read as evidence that the race may be tightening.
